Nancy Lorena Boose, 74, of Savona, New York, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on February 13, 2024 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
She was born on January 21, 1950, in Waverly, New York. Nancy was the beloved wife of Michael Boose for 44 years.
Nancy was a loving and devoted mother to her daughters, Lora Finnerty of Ulster, PA, and Shannon Spiess (Harold) of Bath, NY. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Nancy had a deep appreciation for family and created lasting memories with her loved ones.
In her free time, Nancy enjoyed listening to country music and was a passionate fan of Elvis Presley, the king of rock and roll. Her love for music was a constant source of happiness for her.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her granddaughter Ashley Carnrike (Corey) of Ulster, PA, granddaughter Katherine Miller (Kenneth) of Sayre, PA, granddaughter Jordan Finnerty (Andrew Rose) of Endicott, NY, granddaughter Abigail Spiess of Bath, NY, granddaughter Stephanie Glick (Sam) of Hudson, OH, and her thirteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Alberta Lattimer, her father, Glenn Lattimer, her sister, Doris Welch and brother-in-law, Ronald Welch.
Nancy Lorena Boose will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and the cherished moments she shared with her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.
A Time of Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 10am-12pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services to honor Nancy’s life will follow at the funeral home at 12pm with the Rev. Robert Wuethrich officiating.
Burial will follow in Barton Cemetery, Barton, NY.
